Newcastle Community Green Festival

Newcastle Community Green Festival 6th & 7th June 2015

Once again on the weekend of 6th & 7th June 2015, the fantastic Leazes Park in Newcastle will be transformed into the North East’s favourite free festival.  The festival provides a great place for people and organisations with an environmental or social conscience to share and celebrate their work and achievements.  The festival atmosphere is enhanced by circus and street performances, great food and a live stage providing free music from some of the region’s finest bands.

Volunteers run the festival, that’s why it’s a favourite and free! However, we’d love to have more volunteers to help out over the weekend. It’s great fun, hard work and a very much valued experienced.

Applications for information stalls, traders stalls and catering stalls are welcome from all areas of the region.

Back from the Holidays!

Happy New Year!

The Eco-Team are all back to work now after a relaxing Christmas break and looking forward to pushing on before the Gold submission on the 7th March.

Expect to see a flurry of activity on this page as our workbook fills up over the next two months.

We sent an email to six other University departments yesterday to see if they want to get involved and so that we can help them through the early stages so there could be exciting times ahead!

So, not too much to report for now, so here’s a picture that sums up why we should all do our bit for the environment because these guys won’t be around for much longer if we don’t.

Happy Greening!
